This place was a wonderful place for me to go once! It is a must see but I do not feel that I need to go back. The food and service was good.

I could have gone to kahunaville and paid less for the same food AND I could have played video games. That isn't even why I will not go back! The waite staff is was rude.

  • It was OK, good food, rotten service
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/25/07
We had a party of two adults and 4 kids so the waitress knew they were going to add 18% to the bill no matter how much she didn't care. She pushed it to the limit. After waiting an hour and 15 minutes for food and watching her talk to another table (of her friends) for 30 minutes, I finally got up and walked into the kitchen myself. Well, I ...

  • Awesome!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/14/06
This is the best of both worlds! Can be fun and can also be romantic. I love going to Rainforest Cafe with the family. The staff is extremely friendly and theirvatiety of food is great. Service is just perfect, my glass was never empty. This is a great place to take the whole family, especialy the little ones.

My husband and I went there on our wedding day and we had a great time!

  • Hated it

I went to the Rainforest Cafe in Gurnee Mills. The food was awful, just terrible and the prices were outrageous. I could have had an awesome steak at Ruth Chris steakhouse for the same price!! And everyone I was with had terrible food. The atmosphere is OK, but I would say just walk through one time and that should satisfy your curiosity. It doesn't really feel like a rainforest, more like a cafeteria with some leaves strung up.

kids might have fun at this place, but stay away from the food. i went with a large group that ordered a variety of everything. and all the food was less than desirable. which is nice since it was awful.

  • What is the hoopla about?
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/01/06
When you enter, they take your money, especially if you have kids, (which is why I was there in the first place), I did, however, like the storm affect that dimmed the lights and created thunder, that was pretty nice. But I did go for the food, which I was disappointed in. It was ok, and I mean o k. I get better food at Olive Garden, but the drinks ...

I really love the restaurant. The ambience is so realistic. The food is delicious. The staff is very friendly. I especially like when you order the "Volcano" cake. The whole staff yells "VOLCANO!," and it's pretty funny. I like the food beacuse it seems from over the world. The fish tanks are pretty cool, too. I recomend it ...
