What I really like about the Saloon is that it is not stuffy like some other fine dining and steakhouses in Chicago. The ambience is warm and welcoming. Since the smoking ban took effect you can really smell those steaks right when you walk in.

Anyone with a bit of class, wealthy or not, would not be impressed by this poor establishment. You could get a teenager to run this restaurant better than it is. Terrible service, ehhh on the food...the ambiance is the only thing they had going for them...even the restrooms were filthy. Saloon....never again!

I have dined here many times and have to say that this is my favorite steakhouse in the city. The atmosphere is pleasant and, even at its busiest, is quiet and relaxing.

The food is fabulous, the house salad is refreshing. The wine list and bar are top-notch, and the steaks are some of the best in the city. I personally recommend the Stuffed Fillet Mignon.
