I grew up in Chicago, eating Home Run Inn pizza from this place. Back then it was always busy. Not so much now since the neighborhood has changed so much. However, the pizza is still one of the best around. Really good!

I'm sorry to hhear about the quality of this pizza as it was one of the best in Chicago years ago. I lived in Chicago and moved about 17 years ago and the last time I visited I couldn't believe what happened to the neighborhood around the restaurant. It's become a slum area and dangerous to boot. I did notice the pizza wasn't as ...

By far the best pizza in chicago and suburbs! My wife and I have been going there since we used to date in 1965 and now 43 years later, there still isn't a better pizza anywhere! We would go to home run, wait in a long line outside every saturday night, Grab a pizza and go to the Bel-Air drive in!

I PURCHASED TWO OF YOUR NEW THIN CRUST PIZZAS FROZEN. I WAS SHOCKED AS IT WAS SO THIN I TASTED NO CRUST. PLUS THERE WERE HARDLY ANY CHEESE ON BOTH OF THEM SO ALL I TASTED WAS SAUCE. THESE PIZZAS ARE NO GOOD. I SEE YOU MAKE ALOT OF MONEY ON THESE THE BOX IS HEAVIER THAN THE PIZZA INSIDE. YOUR QUALITY IS GOING DOWN. I THREW THE LAST ONE IN THE TRASH. ...

Just an average pizza. Showed up on Sunday at 4pm. Got pizza in about 15 minutes. Was very busy and I could see it was a hit around here. Sauce was sweet and ok. Nothing to jump out at you and say taste me again. Sausage was ok but nothing special, I was expecting more. Crust was a little too thick for a nice thin crust. I had them go light ...

I LOVE this pizza, I have been going since a little kid and now I take my son. We love it, we wouldn't change it for no other. Especially not the one on 31st, it has better taste then the other Home Run Inn's

Very overrated. Not a bad pizza but I agree with the other reviews, there are a lot of better places in the city. Try the original Leona's on Sheffield and Belmont. MUCH better thin crust, homemade sauce and better toppings. Crispy crust even in the middle of a large pie! Thats my regular stop after the ball game.
Putting a lot of salt on something does not make it good. and Home Run pizza is way too salty.

The pizza is good. But I think it is O-VER-RA-TED. It doesn't taste that much different from a hundred other pizza places that make thin crust pizza. Stick with Gino's East.
