Always fresh food. Very crowded which makes a bit noisy, but there is no other restaurant better for a nice relaxed dining. I am sure everyone else agrees.

I've been going to Chinn's since 97. We went on New Years Eve for a late lunch and they were not busy at all. The service was poor, we sat for 15 minutes before anyone checked on us. Just ate at Bob Chinns (1-3-09)have been going for special occasions since they opened(6-10 times a year).The dishes came warm not hot the waiter shorted us cold slaws(informed us they don't automatically serve unless you ask) and was very specific as to the number of rolls he offered.They even removed the free mints as you exit the restaurant. ...

Chinns is good food. I think the servers are unhappy you can see it by the way they look. I was there and witnessed a manager yelling at a server. Not very plesent but food is good and fresh

++awesome seafood and steaks
++a place where you can relax, not uptight
++on Fathers' Day, all men get a free BC hat

Best fresh seafood around. Best King Crab Legs as well. Simple preparations with great quality product. Yes, it is loud and everything is basic (paper towels instead of napkins) but that's part of the ambiance. As another reviewer noted, their steaks are excellent as well. Of course, you have to have one of their Mai Tai's while you're there (at least one).

I just went to Bob Chinn for the first time this past weekend 1/19/2008 and I must agree Bob Chinn has excellent food though the atmosphere is a little less than desired. I've been going to Chinns for years because I work in the area. I think the food is great, but just because its a seafood restaurant, doesnt mean the steak isn't good. As a matter of fact the steak is excellent. And how anyone can compare Chinns to Red Lobster? There is no comparison!

It's not bad... It's fresh seafood. The service is so-so. Occassionally we've had good service, but more times we've had servers who treat us as if we're bothering them. We go for the food and the Mai-Tai.
It is expensive, more so than many other places... I guess this is why they have an 6 - car (or is it an 8 - car) HEATED & COOLED garage in the north end of their parking lot.
