It's ok, not that great. Been there a few times. Food was good, but nothing special. Last time I was there we had bad service. They were not busy at all, came to our table only once to bring our food and drinks, and spilled a drink on my friends jacket and chair. We sat for a long time before they brought our checks.

Nothing great. Food quality similar to what you can get at any generic Mexican restaurant. Restaurant is clean, prices are good. Durango's and Los Compadres are better in Oshkosh.

most mexican restaurants toute authentic mexican cuisine as if tacos and burritios where the only food in Mexico. While Lara's has the traditional favorites they create there own latin styled food that is both unique and tasty. They even have a Friday fish fry that is the best around. If you haven't tried it you should.

I've pretty much only had the shredded chicken quesadilla when I go since it's so good (with the onions on it) and I've eaten there dozens of times over the last 8 years. The main reason we go is not for the meals but for the chips and salsa...but only for the extra hot (green) salsa.

Occassionally their cooks with make the salsa ...

After living in southern California for a couple of years, I'm still looking for that unique Mexican experience dining in Oshkosh. Lara's isn't quite there yet but it has potential. This used to be a great place to eat. But the last couple of times we have eaten there we have poor service and even poorer food. Getting loaded up on free chips and salsa doesn't replace an authentic Mexican meal, but that is what you get at Tortilla Flats. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
