The food and setting here is excellent! Everytime I get a chance to bring people here I go because this place sets itself apart from anyother in Milwaukee. I recommend this to anyone, young or old.

Kitsch atmosphere. Fun for drinks, but the food is lousy and overpriced. Service is usually pretty good.

Hail to the Chief

Down an alley...double check to see if the secret police are following..slip into the office for International Imports... and you're close. Get by the receptionist and welcome to the Discreet World of the Safe House. I've been going here for years... and never disappointed. It's a must to escort visitors to. Off hours and weeknights ...
The Safe House reminds me of places like Ed Debevic's or Planet Hollywood; all gimic, no quality. The food is subpar and overpriced, the drinks are fine, but the atmosphere is fun if you like having to work for your food.

If you can take a little trickory then this is the place for you, plus who does like the specialty drinks(Spy's Demise). Plus this will sound weird but the girl's bathroom is the quickest way out.

This is a must if you're a native or just on a visit..Food-drinks and fun..Great staff/servers..The ruben is to die for and never hurts to wash it down with a Spy's Demise...Great place to take a client to unwind...
As my first trip to Milwaukee with some frineds to see the Twins play the Brewers, we were told we have to check this place out. We dont have anything like this in Minneapolis. The atmosphere was awesome!! We were lucky enough to have someone tell us the password so we could get in. We decided to make this a normal stop after the game every year ...

Safe at the Safe House
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 02/07/06
For those of us who would go to GenCon when it was in Milwaukee, this was THE place to go after all that gaming. I was lucky enough to be told about it and the password, so I didn't have to walk like a duck or do a hula hoop dance. Great memories of getting a friend drunk on the Spy's Demise house drink. It is an experience that I will always remember and can't wait to go back and take someone there. You HAVE to experience it!
