This is old time Iowa food and a good example of it. This is the food you used to find in farm kitchens and can still find in the Amana colonies. Great place for lunch on a Sunday or dinner through the week. Food is warm, filling, delicious, a bit heavy so not something you'd want every day but for a treat. I can't say enough about this place!The food is terrific! The personnel are terrific! The prices are very reasonable! I try to eat there at least once a month if not more. Their Chicken Fried Steak is terrific, plus they have REAL mashed potatoes! The Hot Beef Sandwich is more than I can eat, so I get 1/2 order.
