My family and I ate here several times while we were vacationing at Boyne Mountain. The soups were delicious and should be a huge favorite, especially in the winter months. Even though we were vacationing in early June, I tried both of their regular soups. We also tried several different entries, since we ate at Red Mesa at least three times ...

The best Mexican/South American style food we've ever eaten. The happy hour appetizers were great, especially the Black Bean Cakes. We had the chicken fajitas and they were awesome! We were there on vacation and can't wait to go back. Wish there was a Red Mesa Grill in Indianapolis!

Red Mesa is awesome!! I've lived there for two years and every other Sunday me and my family would have dinner there. the most your probably gonna spend is around $15 a plate but its defintely worth it!! Its awesome, i recommend this to anyone who is going to visit or go upnorth. There's also one in Traverse City also. But its better to save some gas and stop by Boyne for Red Mesa...

Since The Red Mesa was first opened, it has been my favorite restaurant. The music they play, the food that is served, along with the knowledge and the personality of its wait staff, makes this restaurant the perfect place to go if you like a different type of Mexican food.

and im not only talking spicey. its a great place to go! ive been twice now and the food is just superb and you couldnt get better service anywhere! if i could change one thing, id add beef to their menu. but... the chicken was fabulous!! it was a great experience and if you go, make sure you use the "tourists bathroom" lol

So if your travelling thru Boyne City, Michigan you have to make plans for dinner at the Red Mesa Grill! The food and service is top notch and the margarita's are to die for! So my opinion is to skip Traverse City and all that hassel and spend time in Boyne City and the Red Mesa Grill; both have much to offer! ~Jeff

The food however is below average in our opinion and on three different visits everything seems to taste exactly the same - ordinary.
