Nice hotelThe hotel is behind these big metal gates and it's a bit intimidating at first. But once you buzz in and the hotel guide lets you in - it's beautiful inside. They have a lovely courtyard in the center of the hotel and every story of the hotel looks over it. The rooms are very clean and the bathrooms are great. After staying in Guatemala ...1 of 1 Yahoo! Garden courtyard, friendly serviceLa Merced offered great rooms at competitive rates. My biggest disappointment with it was its location. It is farther from the nightlife in La Antigua, which makes it a quieter place to stay, but can make it more dangerous should you be a sola traveler returning to your hotel late at night.
