I have visited Chiang Mai many times over the past 10 years and have stayed at most of the bigger hotels at one time or another. On my previous trip I happened on the 'Queen Vic' and had a few beers and a great meal so I decided to try their rooms on my next visit. I just wish I had discovered it earlier!
We stayed at this hotel as everywhere else was fully book but it turn out to be a blessing in disguise as this hotel turn out to be the best thing in our holiday experience in Chiang Mai. The staff was extra ordinary friendly and the proprietor's wife went out of the way to find us alternate accomadation when we could not find accomodation ...

I think that small guest houses are always better than big hotels, as you get a better service, and Queen Vic is definately the place to stay, we had a great time.

Queen Vic is a very friendly establishment in the old town of Chiang Mai. We had a brilliant time, the food was outstanding, and the rooms were great value.
Well worth a look.
