This is a great place to stay. It is clean, affordable and the service is OUTSTANDING. When you arrive, ask of Johnny, he will make your stay great and he will help you plan you time in Jaco. Use his suggested tours and activities, no one knows better than Johnny.

Resort should be rated no more than 1 1/2 stars. Main building run down. Smell of row sewage very noticable on upper floor. Miniscule bathroom (to close bathroom door you had to step into shower).

The owners Tom and Candie are great. Even though Jaco isn't the nices beach town in Costa Rica, your stay at Estrellamar will make you feel like you're in a different word. The cheif has excellent receipes. She was nice enough to prepare our fish that we caught deep sea fishing. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
