Alexander House was the perfect setting for our 4th of July weekend visit to Maryland’s Eastern Shore. Very clean comfortable rooms with lots of little details, great food and friendly innkeepers. The library is filled with fascinating books, could have stayed for weeks just to read some of ...

Loved the food, the atmosphere, the shoe-free policy (you can bring indoor shoes or slippers) and the hosts were warm, helpful and hospitable. Lots of whimsy and details for any booklover. They also clean with natural cleansers which we could notice the difference right off (my husband has asthma). Great nature areas nearby and a wonderful river for kayaking.

Great clean whimsical place; friendly innkeepers. We met for a girls get together (we live in different areas of the East Coast. Had a great time staying up with a pj party in the Jane Austen suite.
Excellent food. Loved the crepes.
Sat on the lovely front porch and had teas together. Wonderful experience.
