You will instantly like this hotel. I arrived in the morning and had to wait until 1300 hours to get into my room. The recptionist offered me a coffee and a seat in their very nice breakfast room, a great place to hang out and watch the boardwalk. When I was shown to my room, they carried my luggage for me and everything in the room was working ...

Village Novo has it all. You will not be surprized nor dissappointed. Our rooms, 301 & 302 were just across the hall from each other and were nicely furnished and had everything you would expect inside any larger hotel, like a small fridge, electronic safe and beach views. The staff was friendly and professional.
We will hopefully return some day and we will recomend Village Novo to our friends. Thank you.
We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay in Salvador. The hotel and rooms are even more beautiful than their photos and the location, in front of the beach, is ideal. The owners are helpful and charming hosts, offering great suggestions for events and locations to visit in the city. We were there for 8 days, and each day started with an ...

Loved this place!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/20/08
I have just arrived here and it looks and feels just as described. I am in the internet cafe watching the beach as I write this message. I have room 304 in the back of the hotel and it is comfy, quiet and private. Everything works great, nothing is old. The terrace is just one floor up and has a great view of the bay.
I am staying here for ...

Best Hotel in Salvador!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/29/07
Best Hotel in Salvador may seem a little extreem. But, after staying at Village Novo and several other hotels in Pelourinho and Itapua at the other end of the city, "Porto da Barra" is where you can get the best of both worlds.
In front of a tropical beach that is perfect for sun baithing, swimming and mingling with new people, around ...
We liked mostly; 1-Rooms had confortable beds, were clean and lots of hot water. 2-Restaurant is a BARGAIN. They have great Brazilian lunch plate that feeds 2 people. 3-Internet-I used the internet service every day and was satisfied with the speed of the connection and enjoyed the machines with flat monitors. 4-The terrace is a fantastic ...

WOW! What A Great Place!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/16/07
What a fantastic relief from the incredibly busy Barra area. Location is #1. We found it very relaxing just sitting in the café with a Great view of the Barra beach and the Barra life speeding by in front of you. The café serves some great Brazilian food and is full of Brazilians and not just for the tourist, which makes for a good vibe.
Village Novo has taken an old mansion and tastefully transformed it into a small hotel. The rooms were nicely furnished and the beds are comfortable. We rented 3 different rooms. We have all traveled several times in Brazil and this is one of the better small hotels (B&B’s) that we have found.
