This is an awesome place to eat. The food is authentic and delicious. I love the bread that you pick up the food with. It is an all around fun experience for everyone. Great place to go on a date!

DISGUSTING!!!! You eat with your hands this vile stuff they serve called food. Service was slow and a bit dim. Over all, i didn't eat a bit, and a charge of $25 per person is insane! If you enjoy delicious, clean food, with pleasant and informed service, try elsewhere.

I'm from Lansing...home of Altu's, another Ethiopian eatery...so lets compare! The food was very similar in quality..i.e. VERY GOOD! Though, guess what, Altu's is better at what they offer (they have a shorter menu, but tastier), but you won't miss with Blue's options. Now for the kicker...Blue has no take-out...WHAT!?! Why? ...

  • SO good and unique!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/02/07
The food here is excellent and I'd actually recommend the vegetarian dishes over the meat dishes (and this is coming from a full omnivore) The traditional injera bread is a little like sourdough with its tanginess and has a very unique texture. I'd also definitely recommend the iced tea, as long as you like yummy spices like cardamom that ...

  • Different Dining Experience
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 06/17/07
This was my first experience with Ethiopian food, and it was very interesting. The meat is spicey, but not hot spicey, just flavorful spicey. The beef is delicious. The method with which you eat is interesting...you tear off pieces of the ethiopian bread and use it to pick up the food. We went for the lunch buffet, which was full of meat and ...

  • Nothing out of the ordinary
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/15/05
To begin, if you haven't had ethiopian food, you should. And this place is as good as any in the area to start. That said, on an overall scale it's pretty much what you'd expect, and no pleasant surprises. For the price, I expect pretty good service, and it was. The food, for ethiopian food, was alright. The restaurant is a little too ...

  • Very Interesting Dining Experience
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/02/05
We looked up this place on the interenet. I've always wanted to try an Ethopian-style resturant. My impression when I first walked in was really nice, and the waitresses were dressed in nice "authentic-style" clothing. The atmosphere was good. The food was "interesting." They gave you this bread that had this real ...

  • Best Ethiopian Food We Have Ever Had.
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/04/05
Everytime we go the food is excellent. We order the Vegetarian Feast all you can eat.

First they will bring out a hot towel to clean our hands off with. Then they will bring you this platter with food on sponge bread.

Then they will bring you another tray with spongie bread, and what you're suppose to do is tear the bread and pick up ...
