Don't stay here. It takes too long to get to Venice proper which wastes your time and the shuttle boat is completely unreliable. Firstly the drop off point is different from that on the map given by the hotel. Had to scamper in the dark to find the boat which was 100m away and a bridge across. On the second day, the shuttle was a no show ...

Bad Location and Poor Service

-Hotel is located across a waterway from Venice. The free shuttle seats only 40 and fills up quickly. So inconvenient and such a headache. Want to visit San Marco or anywhere else with a mid day rest in your hotel room? Forget it! Save your vacation time and stay somewhere more convenient (practically anywhere).
-The hotel is like an airport. Big ...

The perfect place to stay in Venice
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 04/22/09
It was wonderful. The rooms large and good bedding. The roof top bar had grand views of the city. The restuarant served beautifully prepared dishes. I liked the ride to the hotel, you get to see the city.
We stayed there late Aug on family vacation. Great rooms, pretty good service, fantastic pool on the roof (which the kids absolutely loved) with amazing views. Lovely setting and lobby etc. Shuttle to San Marco square vicinity very convenient.
Overall felt more upscale than most Hiltons, really much more like a Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton. ...
Wonderful location with free Hilton shuttle to/from San Marcos island. Rooms were well appointed; ours was done in cherry wood. We chose a 'view' room, ending up overlooking the shuttle dock, enjoying the feeling of being in the midst of Venice activity. Room service dinner, overlooking the canal, was superb; service was excellent. Classy bar up on roof with a view to die for.

Out of hustle and bustle of San Marco Square, but close enough. Being on the island of Guidecca gives you a more local feel with great veiws across the canal. The hotel has everything you could possibly want or need while there.
Unbeliveable service and hospitality. We recieved a free upgrade to a Executive Suite due to overbooking but it was an amazing hotel the photos do not do it justice. Could not be a better place to stay. Hilton outdid themselves with this one! I travel for work and this place floored me with how nice it was. We were waiting on a director to yell cut as we were sure this was a movie..... trust me STAY HERE if you go to Venice.
