I heard that this was a great steak restaurant. I agree that the steak was good but the service was so-so and the vegetables were terrible. I have had better side dishes from the frozen food aisle.

I am very very dissapointed of the quality of the food and service;
* reservations were made for 4 at 19.30...We were seated at 20.20
* It was so dark that it was almost impossible to read the menu..my dish was dirty (maybe they tried to hide something..)
* The crabcakes were cold
* When asked for a strawer for the water we were given attitude ...

My wife and I go here every year for our anniversary. We love it and would recommend it to anyone in the Dayton area. I always order the Tornado steak filets and get the house salad. I recommend a nice white wine. I prefer Carvers over all other steak houses in the dayton area. Unless your going south to cincy there is no comparisson with their great service and excellent food. Enjoy!

I went into Carver's at 7:30 on a Friday evening and was seated immediately.
The server was friendly and attentive. HOWEVER, the food was very disappointing! I chose the spinach salad, prime rib, and a glass of wine.
The spinach salad had good potential, but came tossed with such
an excess of dressing it was difficult to eat and impossible ...

if you get seated way in the back and it's busy(usually is), it can be rather noisy. Overall great place. My personal favorite.

The food was GREAT but service was not. This was our 2nd visit to the same location.. We had reservations at 7:15, 21 Jan., and when we were NOT called from the lounge ( service was terrible in there also -10 minutes to get a drink?!?!) it went downhill fast.We were assured -twice-we'd be notified in the lounge when our reservations were up. ...

I love this place! A little expensive, but still a great value.
