Old and shabby, no amenities, no decoration - weird layout. They did not clean the room between our days stay - said they were busy. Brookdale Inn and Spa has soo much character. Took a break from my daily grind and found myself in a cute vintage hotel set in Santa Cruz Mountains. The lounge was delightful and the bartender Roco was fun to talk with. His cosmopolitans were so tasty. If you are looking for a retreat from your everyday life I highly recomend the Brookdale Inn and Spa.

Found out there was new owners and I was kinda bumed. It turned out that they are doing so much work on the property to make it a 5 star destination vacation hotel. They are not quit there yet but you could see the work that they have done and it looks soo much better than before. Thumbs up!
