If you want a lovely ocean view from a room that's too small to turn around in, a shower that won't accommodate you if you're over 5'4" tall, being woken up at 2 a.m. by loud guests (or even those speaking in normal tones whose conversations somehow carry throughout due to the odd acoustics and paper-thin walls). . . . not to ...

Loved every minute here.

Ocean breezes flowing through our rooms, a "to die for" front porch, lots of toys inside and on the big lawn outback, donuts & english muffins, comfy beds and kind hosts. What more could one ask? How about a short, scenic walk to a lovely beach where fishing boats, seals and all sorts of birds pass through the Chatham bars. All ten of us loved this place.

My family has been going to Chatham every summer for 13 years. It has great location and the breakfast in the morning is wonderful. It's a very old fashioned but fits all the requirements. This is a great place!

Unbeatable...

We've been going for years and now that we have children we bring them too! They really look forward to it. Perfect location close to a beach, and a short walk to the Lighthouse Beach and to the town. Dick and Joan are great. No frills rooms that are just right. If you want luxury, you can blow $500 a night at the Chatham Bars Inn, but for good, old-fashioned vacation style, the Surfside Inn fits the bill.

Dick and Joan are fantastic host and hostess....real salt of the earth and plain HONEST, FRIENDLY & CARING. Our time is in demand from family and the office, but our next Cape Cod adventure will be with these FRIENDS. The setting is " 'ol time Cape Cod Charm".

Paradise by the beach
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/08/07
We have stayed at this magical place probably 6 times, maybe more. We keep coming back time and time again. This is magic...you can hear the sound of the water from your room, the beds are comfy...Joan and Dick make this a home from home...you can walk to the beach with your bucket and spade and in the evening there is nothing to beat sitting on ...

the Surfside is the last of the old school motor inns in Chatham. It ain't the Ritz but for the money you can't beat it...no hot tubs, pools, high speed internet, fancy in house restaurant...just a nice place to hang your hat at the end of the day. A short walk to the beach (100 yards), Chatham Light and downtown shopping. Owner Dick ...
