Stopped in for a bite and a brew. Excellent service at a fair price, with many beers on tap that are not readily available.

Definitely one of my favorites in the city. More authentic than Hofbrauhaus if you ask me - or at the least it doesn't seem nearly as touristy.
If you are a true beer lover don't forget to check out their bottle selection.

Best place in the city! I love the Spaten Beer on tap. This is a great casual place to take a family or just hang at the bar with friends. Happy hour has half price appetizers and cheaper drinks. Enjoy! Tom McKenna

Went to the Bearcats Basketball Game on a Weeknight and stopped for a quick bite. Two people, sandwiched & drinks. Friendly service in a historic setting.

A true family owned German Restaurant with flair
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 01/13/06
As opposed to many of the chain 'country' themed restaurants around the country, MG, rates as one of the best, with good service, excellent beer selection and food, and the best atmosphere outside of Germany. Stop by in the summer for their Biergarten. I have ot go there every time I am in Cincinnati. The owners are always friendly to customers and provide a great time in Cincy for me. Thanks Mecklenburg Gardens!

My personal favorite dish is their blackened salmon which is served with veggies du jour and rice pilaf. Friends often have their chicken spaetzle, which ...

Great place to hang out!

Why do I always forget about Mecklenburg Gardens? It's a real gem in Cincinnati, and you will love the outdoor dining option. Even when it's cool in the Fall, they bring out heaters so you can enjoy their Bier Garten. The beer-lover will be happy here, indeed. You can get Kolsch (from Cologne, Germany) on the right day. Ask for the ...
