My boyfriend and I have tried a few sushi places in town and Akai Hana is by far the best! They are nice sized rolls, and reasonably priced. Some rolls as low as $5. All the servers are very nice, and attentive too. I feel like it's my little secret, haha.

Not only the best in Columbus; I travel around the USA and around the world, and this is it... this is the best!
For the last 20 years i have been a customer of Restuarant japan (now Akai Hana) and i have been there probably a hundred times (an average of 4 times a month), an always liked it A LOT.
If you have not been there and you like Japanese food and Sushi you need to go there... You will love it!

Best in Columbus!

This is the only place in Columbus where one can get good sushi. We tried several other places before finding Akai Hana and were always very disappointed. The staff is very friendly and the food is superb! We visited Japan in the last year, and while the food there was a bit better, this place is at least in the same ballpark!
The food here is creative but still has the original Japanese style. Very good for people who has never tried Japanese food before. Also has some Korean menus. They care about customers a lot. Lunch menu is reasonable.
Right next to Japanese grocery, bakery, and a bookstore *recently Changed it's name to "AKAI HANA"

Love this place. The Sweet Potato Rolls, and Spicy Scallop Rolls are my favorite! I love the Green Tea both hot or cold, and the ginger ice cream is a great ending to a great meal. The service has always been excellent. I would recomend this place to anyone who likes Japanese food.

It has been my choice for the finest quality sushi
I have been a patron of Restaurant Japan for over 12 years. This restaurant is consistant in all aspects of dining. The service, staff and food are all top-notch.
The only place in town where I will eat sushi is Restaurant Japan. It sounds weird to say this, but they have the best tasting seaweed in town. Their rolls are fresh, and the specialty rolls (tempura roll, spicy scallop roll) are fantastic. The entrees are wonderful (I suggest suki yaki or ten don), and they have a limited Korean menu. If you ...
