Hey Andy, Rob didn't say that it was an outback experience. He said go to "outback" as in outback steakhouse. I personally think that Outback Steakhouse is better than Mitchells. It's cheaper, and way friendlier.

After reading Rob's review, I couldn't help but respond. Mitchell's is not an "outback" experience. The ambience, the food, the service, and the experience are intended for those looking for high end dining. More to the point, Mitchell's downtown location isn't in a mall, and the Mitchell's at Polaris is in the ...

My girlfriend and I were in the area looking for a place to have dinner when I saw Mitchell's and thought we'd give it I try. I nearly suggested we leave when I saw the prices on the menu, but didn't want to look like a cheapskate in front of my girl. Although the food was good, it was about twice as expensive as what it was worth. ...

Great food, cool atmosphere. Went there for lunch on a Friday, there were only a few tables besides us, so it was very relaxing. The food was VERY good, the filets were cooked perfectly, top quality beef. The wedge salads were also very good. The only food item that we ordered that was disappointing was the stewed tomatoes
It was $91 for lunch for 2 people with no alcohol and no dessert, but well worth it.
One of the premier spots to eat in Columbus... Don't miss it!

I received a gift card from my boss and my husband and I went out to treat ourselves. The atmosphere is lovely, but the noise level was much too loud for a higher-end steakhouse. Our steaks, while prepared correctly (med. rare for me and well done for hubby), was tough and stringy. Our side dishes were bland and barely warm. Service was alright, I ...

A true dining experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/08/06
Mitchell's Downtown is where my wife and I go every year on our anniversary. It's not just dinner, it's an experience. The atmosphere is great, the wait staff is always on their game, and the steaks are always cooked to perfection. Plan on spending some quality time while there, you're never rushed at all. It's on the pricy side...but well worth it. I recommend the Creme Brulee for dessert!
Some of the best steaks in town, but also some of the priciest. My filet mignon was one of the best I'd ever had, even though it was a little undercooked. Even the others at my table who had chicken and tuna steak were not disappointed. The service was impecable also. My only complaint was the price. With the entrees, you don't get sides ...
