My wife and I had reservations for a Saturday night at 7:30. Our table was waiting. The hostess was pleasant and a joy to meet. Our server was not very familiar with the foods being served but was very nice, none the less. She kept our drinks full and was present when we needed her. The prime rib and ribeye was great and the pecan pie and chocolate moose was superb.

Maybe we came on a bad day.

First, the good stuff: Great atmosphere -- complete with a ghost story. We order 2 different kinds of soups, and both were excellent. They also make an excellent Bloody Mary.

But everything else was bad.

Waitress was unfriendly and sullen. Steak was overdone and mostly gristle. The menu offered no description ...

very expensive, but well worth it. They have the best steaks in town. Ummm Umm good!

STEAKS TASTED AWFUL

While parts of the restaurant might be crowded this place has the best service around! I was able to get wonderul french onion soup and its hard to find a place that makes it right. I look forward to going downtown so I can grab lunch there.
