Not sure who "Brad Wesley" is, but the food and service here are both wonderful! I've been eating here for 9 years now, and have never had a bad experience. The food is fresh, the salsa and chips are great, the dishes are terrific! Anyone who wants fresh, authentic Mexican should try this place!

Aside from the relatively low prices and monstrous portions, I don't understand the widespread enthusiasm for El Rio Grande.

After four or five visits, I have concluded that it is just more unexciting, warmed-over, soggy Tex-Mex that is unfortunately typical of Cincinnati Tex-Mex chains. Almost nothing on the menu tastes very fresh. Even ...

Best Mexican for the price around. Anytime we have a big group we go there. The prices are reasonable and they can work in bigger group fairly quick.

I moved to the area from Mexico about 8 years ago. I haven't found a restaurant as good as this. Not everything they serve is 100% authentic, but some of their dishes are delicious. The staff is very friendly, and they will treat you very well. Next time you go there, order either the "Especialidad Rio Grande", or a "Bistek ...

What Rio Grande lacks in atmosphere, it makes up for it in food. You must try anything with the queso sauce...especially on top the chimichanga..The entrees are huge & prices very small...Which to me is an award winning combination.

Fire one down, then go get licquored up on the best priced/best tasting margaritas and Dos Equis drafts in town. Finally, once ripped, chow on the best Mexi food for miles. A single mixed fajita is cheap and feeds two to three people. Tear it up, dude.

  • Great food at reasonable price
    By russbarrett, 08/21/06
This is one of the best and consistent mexican restaurants in greater Cincinnati. I have eaten many of the menu items and they are all fresh and tasty. Favorites include chimichanga, tamale, and my son loves the supreme burrito. Fried ice cream is a pretty tasty dessert. Margaritas are great on the rocks! All this at a reasonable price brings our family back at least once a month.

The food was excellent yet affordable for the average lower-class family nowadays. The atmosphere is great.

Not exactly the place for atmosphere, but absolutely the best mexican around. Would Not! compare it to Don Pablo's (is that even considered mexican?...please) Great cheese dip and food. Service can be slow, but always worth the wait!
