A friend and I recently happened upon Pleasant's Bar-B-Que inOcean Springs while looking for a simple lunch. We were absolutely delighted with the friendly atmosphere and more especially the food. Biggest hit for us was the tiny, perfect coconut pie which we took to go and then had to share!

A family owned restaurant that has been opened for years. When you dine here you will really feel as if you are eating at your grandma's house. It's a really quiet place with excellent food and service. Still haven't tried the collards, but can't wait. Try one of their pecan pies for dessert.

In my humble opinion, Pleasant's has the best BBQ this side of TX... We had their real sliced (tender) brisket and chopped pork... outstanding.. the sauce hit the spot being very flavorful with just a hint of spiciness. The side of potato salad a good match for the BBQ... if it wasn't homemade, I would be extremely surprisedWell worth the ...

I LOVE Pleasants! My boyfriend and I drive over to Ocean Springs to eat here sometimes. The food is awesome, and this restaurant is owned by the nicest family. it is friendly, good food, and they usually have the ball game on!

My wife and I have eaten bar-b-q from many locations in the south......from N.C.,S.C,Ga,Fl.,La.,Tenn. ,Ky. and I have to say that the Pleasant's Bar-B-Q in Ocean Springs is the best yet. Yes, we have eaten at other locations in Ms( That are better known) but Plesant's is the place to be at eat'en time. I have never gotten anything there ...

I went there after getting flat tire repaired next door and man they have some good stuf to eat..The ribs were perfect whole ribs not the kind you get were they have stipped the tips off to sell to you seperate, and the sauce was excellent..lets just say it simply that i have been back 7 times in last week and a half and still love every bite...

Great food, the Bar-B-Q is finger licking good. The fact that the sauce is home made makes it even better. The daily lunch specials and home made pies are wonderful too. Best food you will find in the South. You must try Pleasant's if you are in town.
