I thoroughly enjoyed my recent visit to the hearth and kettle....the food was excellent, and the portions were huge! Everyone was extremely helpful, and gave great advice on local attractions. Our food was served promptly, and piping hot. Even the kids liked everything! We will be stopping there again, next time we visit the area.

Call it AJ's: This restaurant is known as AJ's Hearth & Kettle, but everyone calls it AJ's. I've tried it once. Catfish is one of its specialties. I've had better at other places.. Eating utensils were dirty, which always starts a meal off on the wrong foot.
Whenever we're in town for a week, we stop in for variety but it's not our first choice. The food is good, the waitress are friendly but nothing here that puts it over the top. They seemed to be a better resturant a few years back.
