Over priced. My 26 oz prime rib had more gristle than one could accept. Not three good bites. Service was mediocore. The view? There's a nice view of trees, no vista. Romantic? NO! No romantic restaurant has gravel driveways that eat up your ladies' heels! The escargot was good, actually the only bright side.

There are very few restaurants that can compare to the Greenbrier. My family and I always dine at least once whenever we travel to Gatlinburg. The food is excellent and can only be surpassed by the mountain top view! I believe this is a family-owned and operated business, so you will always get excellent service.

I was trying to track this hill top-resturant down for my trip next month and I am so excited I found it. I ate here a few years back and it was delicious. If you don't know the area it's easy to get lost looking for this great restaurant. It has a great menu and everything is good...a nice wine list too. There is a story about a ghost that lives there...The Greenbrier is rich in Appalachian History and what has happened to Gatlinburg since it's early beginnings. So come on up and enjoy the scenery, the great food, service and if you are really quiet you might here the ghost. :)
