My favorite place in Chattanooga...No kidding. The food is inredible, the shrimp curry is my favorite, the folks that run it are super nice. I do have a bias towards family owned places like this...That means something to me. Anyway, just remember not everyone's idea of hot is the same. LOL

This is the best Indian restaurant of the three in the Chattanooga area. A favorite with all our family. Better service and friendliness than The Sitar and far better food than The Curry Pot.

My husband and I have eaten there twice now and the food is absolutely wonderful. We have been trying different things, but one of our favorites was the masala. The service is excellent. They are extremely friendly and eager to explain stuff to you. (if you have a lot of questions like we do)

India Mahal has THE best Indian cuisine in TN. If you have never tried Indian before, it's great because they offer a lunch buffet where you can learn the flavors. Lunch is by far the best route to go to save a buck or two. We have a fiend that drives all the way from Atlanta just for their food because there is NO OTHER like it! It is family owned and operated and they are great people. Try the mango lassi.

Wow, this was interesting, I'm glad I went so that I could know how good I have it to NOT LIVE IN INDIA. wow, it was sooooooooo gross. There were these wierd cooked chickens and all kinds of other things that I had no idea what they were or how to eat them. The service was beyond horrible ( and no I didn't stick my nose in the air and I ...
They have a great lunch buffet for low budget but the evening atmosphere is great. I especially enjoy their mango lasse, vege thali and green mint sauce.

If you havent tried Indian food before, then we recommend the lunch buffet at India Mahal. You can try a variety of things to figure out what you like before you have to commit to an entire entree. The staff is as nice as they come, and weve never once been disappointed by a visit here. Highly recommended!
