We had a banquet style dinner for 69 people here and it was the best. We had a choice of grouper, fried chicken and steak, grilled vegetables, mashed potatoes, bread and a chocolate brownie pie. Wow! I never eat desert at a restaurant but that was before I came to Mt. Vernon. Everything was great the place, the entree, & desert. Do not let this opportunity pass you by if you are in town.OVERALL

Great Southern FoodThis place makes me wish I lived in Tennessee. It is easily the friendlist restaurant I have ever been too. They brought me an entire bowl of fresh mint when I asked for some sprigs for my tea. The food is home style southern, but you won't wish for anything better.OVERALL
