Let's face it certainly this is not a fine resort in Del Mar, but what do you want for $237.00 a week. I believe this to be the absolute finest deal in San Diego county. The staff is very kind and always have been available on the spot to answer any request I've had.

the remodeled rooms have good carpet, a king bed, and a fridge for a cheaper rate than other motels/hotels (trust me I've looked), these are better than the regular rooms.
there are deposits but they are refundable.
everyone is very nice, it's quiet during the night, and there is security which is nice.

$5 refundable deposit for room key and TV remote , not enough towels . Run down and old looking . Actually $65 for a room . Would look elsewhere next time and would gladly pay more , even Motel 6 .
