Here's the thing. Davenport's used to be the best pizza in town. However, the last couple of times I've been there the pizza has been ok to bad. It's just not worth the money any more.

Pizza is flimsy but has a decent taste...would,be Much better if they weren't so stingy with the toppings! The canned mushrooms are aweful, though. Expensive stuff... and the staff is generally uninterested in serving their customers but if you can get over that, well, it's not too bad.

My wife and I are absolutely ruthless, uncompromising pizza snobs, so trust me when I say that Davenport's is the epicenter of pizza in Birmingham, Alabama, and for some of us, the world.
Named for pro baseball player and Alabama Sports Hall of Famer Jim "Peanut" Davenport, the place is a well-worn, poorly-lit dive decorated in ...

This was a very fun place to go. It was a little loud, but the food was wonderful and the price was pretty good as well. An original place!
