  • Very good sushi!

Sakura is a little pricey, and the service I'd say is only fair, but the sushi is GREAT! Very fresh, and a wonderful variety. The conch is my favorite.

  • Absolutely the best!

This is by far, the best and freshest sushi bar I have had within the state of Alabama. I always like to grab a cozy spot at the front window to watch the people walking by, which is a constant and steady flow. Order up a nice Sake with some sushi rolls and have yourselves a blast! Delicious Food and great atmosphere! In the famous Five Points area in the heart of the Birmingham Nightlife. Lunch is awesome as well!
    Five Stars!

  • Not too bad!

I have really been impressed by this little joint in 5 Points South! My bosses and I went there about 12:30 on a Friday night and the food was fresh, tasty, and though it took a while to get serviced, the wait was well worth it. Definitely will visit this little sushi shop again soon!

Have been going to midnight sushi for a couple of years now. I actually love sitting at the bar watching the chefs prepare the food. Beautifully displayed. Great gathering of interesting people always.

  • Midnight Sushi!!! Every party person's dream!
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/10/05
Sakura has been a local favorite almost since it's openieng. The food is excellent. The sushi is top notch. The atmosphere is hip. The prices are quite reasonable. The saki flows freely. It's centrally located to most of the major nighttime hotspots in town. And there is always that wonder of wonders... midnight sushi..... For a favorite Japanese restaurant in Birmingham, I would be hard pressed to choose between Sakura and Stix.
