As a South Tampa Kojak's regular, the Palmetto Kojak's delivered a huge disappointment. Service was slow and there were bones in a BBQ sandwich. The food seemed left over from an earlier date. Even without the bones, it was terrible. Nothing like the original Kojak's on Gandy in Tampa.

No comparison to the South Tampa Kojak's

Very dark atmosphere compared to the front porch of the original Kojak's. The pulled BBQ sandwiches were mostly tomato based and not flavorful enough. The parsley potatoes seemed to be left over from the previous day. In addition, on person in my party had multiple bones in her sloppy chick. The sloppy chick in South Tampa Kojak's is one of the best lunch items.
It seems like a hidden secret. The first time I went to Kojaks I ordered their ribs which is their specialty. Tender, juicy and good portions of food and side dishes. I've been back several times and tried their fish, burgers, and Cracklin' fries. Everything is delicious. The owners are there every day and really care about their customers and giving quality food and service.
