Best Grilled Cheese sandwiches on the planet. They are very large, and made with grilled sour dough bread. A casual place, with an attentive staff, makes for a great lunch.

THE BEST place to eat on Sanibel! We have 3 kids so kid friendly and affordable is a Must for us and The Hungry Heron is #1 for Service, Kid friendly(SpongeBob playing on the TVs) and is Very affordable! The Staff is Wonderful - We have been to this place 6 or 7 times in the last 7 years and have Never had a bad experience. Every vist is Top-Notch!

This is a great family restaurant with a HUGE menu. The prices are reasonable, the staff is friendly, and it is very kid friendly as well. I would highly reccomend it. We frequent it every time we visit Sanibel!

Excellent place. Food is good and portions are significant. Service is pleasant and prompt and this was on a day when they had been short one of the wait staff. We had the Mahi Mahi and Salmon. The table next to us got the "side of beef" which was an ENORMOUS cut of beef.

The Best Alaskan King Crab Legs ever!

We have been going to Sanibel for several years now and this is one of our "must haves" when we are there...the seafood is fresh and always abundant!! The quality of the food is always excellant and there is always plenty to eat. Get there early because the resturant is small and it gets crowded quickly, although it is worth the wait. This is one of our favorite seafood resturants in Florida!!!!! Don't miss it!!!
