This is a fun place to eat. We have had great experiences with our meal as well as the service we received, accept for the last two times we went. The food was not that great, however everyone has a down time or two, and we're all aware of the chef in training situation, therefore I would recommend Joe's Crab Shack as a fun family ...

There is nothing special about this place. The service was slow and the food was just okay. If you are in the mood for seafood at a chain restaurant, go to red lobster instead.

I always like going to this place until I went one time and there was a fly baked into my stuffed crab. It was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant.

I like the atmosphere and the service is usually good, but that doesn't make up for the horrible food. The last time I visited I had shrimp cooked three different ways and all three were overdone. The shrimp was rubbery and had little taste. On previous occasions I've had similar situations. Either no flavor or over cooked. It's too bad they don't overhaul the menu because they have a good thing going on with the decor.
