A local also recommended Harbor Docks to us for the best seafood around!!! What a disappointment!!! We decided to have a early Dinner around 4:30, we did not eat all day so we could savor the flavor of the great seafood!!! The taste, portion size and the service was very poor!!! We actually felt ripped off for our overall experience!!! If the ...

Host seated our group in bar, when I asked if it would be crowded he no, within 10 minutes the bar was packed, constantly being bumped by staff. The food is not that good to put up with the hassle

Just returned from Destin & had a great experience at Harbor Docks! The blackened redfish was the best I've ever had. Seasoned to perfection. We had a large group of 14 (including kids), our table was waiting for us on arrival, valet parking, and we were in and out in 90 minutes on a Thurs night in July. They also gave t-shirts to all the kids. It was the best night of dining the entire trip!

Well things must have changed at Harbor Docks because I went there twice in one week in May when we were in Destin. One day we had one of the five or six daily lunch specials (lunch specials change each day) which was fried seafood platter including fresh amberjack and shrimp and it was wonderful. It was cooked just perfectly and more that we ...

I agree with the other reviews, the locals love it. Harbor Docks does not live up to the hype. My 6 ft. 185 lb. linebacker teenagers ordered the pasta because you can't go wrong with pasta portion size, they literally got 10 penna noodles and 4 shrimp for $20. More than a dollar a piece. It was a huge disappointment. I was absolutely shocked. Now, Destin and the Emerald coast are amazing and definitely worth the trip!

My wife and I have have tried this place four or five times and never enjoyed it. We keep going back becuase it is suppose to be the place to go. Like many restaurants in Destin, I think it was probably very good at one time but now just doesn't pay enough attention to detail and gets by on selling that old reputation to tourist.

Overpriced and over-rated. A local told us this was the best seafood in Destin. He was both drunk and wrong. The broiled platter was lackluster with overcooked fish of the day and soft-shelled crab. The gumbo tastes like chili with shrimp and okra. Small baked potatoes and underwhelming service.

Sushi is good. But hey, it's a seafood restaurant not a sushi bar. Parking is bad. I'm sure the place was great back in the day. It needs change.

Disappointing experience for a place with the reputation it has. Dined on March 11, 2008 -- early in the season, but at the beginning of Spring Break. Not to worry here, as most college kids could not afford the prices. Fish was fresh, but way overpriced for what you received. Cost of fish entree was $25-28, which included a baked potato and small ...
