I grew up on St. Simons and am now 60+ years old. For great fried shrimp, you just can't beat the Crab Trap. It's often crowded and that may cause some problems, but get there early with an attitude of "just taking it easy" and you'll get good food, drink and friendly service. The hush puppies are out of sight and you get very, very generous portions.
