Average at best - and I am being kind. One of the places I anticipated most in Savannah and the most disappointing. Fried chicken and mashed potatoes were tastesless. Grilled chicken at KFC is better; I have had frozen mac and cheese better than this; if you want a good biscuit go to Red Lobster; and the price is way too high for the quality and ...

The minute we got there and I used the restroom, I knew it was going to be an unpleasant experience! The restrooms at a gas station would have been cleaner. They also lacked any decor or odor removers, and along with the mold growing up along the walls, it was not a great place to eat! I thought this restaurant experience was suppose to envelope ...

The entire experience was very disappointing. I was raised on Southern cooking and what we ate at Lady & Sons fell far from palatable. The hostess was unfriendly as well. Some people waited for hours to get in! We didn't wait that long but wish we had skipped it altogether. There are many other good restaurants to choose from. Don't waste your money here.

I just got back from Savannah yesterday. Overall, I had a good time. I`m from North Carolina and we have some of the best food around but the Lady And Sons has some of the worst food around. The best thing I had was the sweet tea!! We had lunch there on Saturday (9-19-09). The fried chicken was ok, mac n cheese was ok and that was it. I`ve had ...

The Lady and Sons is a perfect example of theme park culture masquerading as authenticity. Paula Deen's restaurant poses as some authentic expression of 'southern culture" when in reality it is a hypocritical and perhaps cynical hijacking of Black Southern cuisine packaged to appeal to a middle America that doesn't want to ...

I was there in the fall of 2001 before Paula had her food show, etc. The food then was some of the best southern food I had eaten during my trip to Charleston and Savannah. After finding out that Mrs. Wilkes' restaurant was not open on the weekends, my family and I were told by the locals to eat at Lady & Sons, in fact, they raved about it. ...

We just returned from Savannah yesterday and had the pleasure of eating here on a Sunday afternoon. We had no reservations and simply walked up to the hostess and asked for a table for 2. She advised us that the only available place to eat was at the bar - which was fine by me!
Her collard greens, stewed orca with tomatos, mashed potatos, ...

Took the Trolly tour and got VIP passes to The Lady and Sons for the next day. We scheduled our reservation for 11:00 am lunch. The line was long outside and I was concerned. The doors opened promptly at 11 and we were ushered in very quickly! The staff was very polite and organized. We are fans of Paula Deen and were not dissapointed! The food ...

A tourist trap buffet. The food is just not that great compared to so many other downtown restaurants. If your a tourist, take a picture outside and go eat elsewhere. You will get a much better meal!
