Other than the Varsity...this is the place to go for the best Athens burgers/fries, etc. (and its within a much closer walking distance). Try the canadian bacon burger and cheddar fries...the perfect 1 am college treat.

The Grill is always a sure bet for the late night munchies for us! It's a must to get there before 2am, if out late, as the line is out the door and the place is packed. i''v lived in athens all my life, and i do love many of the eateries, but when some one is coming from out of town, and they want to see athens, the grill, not the varsity, or any other place, to me the grill isn't just great food, and a fun environment, but it's relay got a snap shot of athens in it

Pretty much just your normal hamburger and malt shop. No delicious entres, the only bonus is that it serves 24/7.

The Grill and I go way back.....over 20 years! My friends and I would hang out here late at night when there was nothing else opened. We had great food, good times and lots of laughs here. I moved away from Athens about 8 years ago but have now returned. It was one of the first places I took my family. They loved it. My 16 year old stepdaughter said..."Man, I wish we had a place like this is Chicago."!!! Wow huh?
