Excellent food and even better job of continuing Southern Tradition in Atlanta. If you have never been you must.

One of the best restaurant experiences I've ever had! The staff was friendly and welcoming, the service was excellent, and the food was outstanding. I haven't had fried green tomatoes like that since my grandmother made them 50 years ago. The chicken and dumplings were delicious, and the broccoli souffle was a magnificent creation. Jo, the ...

Great cinnamon rolls! They are served with assorted breads free of charge. Good home cooked southern food. Great atmosphere! Mostly everything I've tried has been delicous- the country fried steak, fried chicken, souffle. All the desserts are fabulous! Just don't order the chicken and dumplings. Overall a good experience and reasonably priced.

After receiving my glass, my friends and I noticed lipstick on the rim. I was not wearing lipstick. The training manager, Terry, made the Shirley Temple. Terry gave the drink to the manager, Brandon Haywood, to serve to me. I actually drank from this glass. As I was drinking out of the glass, I saw the lipstick. The thought alone almost made ...

I love Mary Macs. It reminds me of my mother's home cooking. They even have someone who gives back rubs :) The fried green tomatoes are my favorite. Mary Macs has become a family tradition. Everytime my relatives come into town, they always want to stop by there for some good rolls, sweet tea, and greens.

We've been eating here for decades as it's an Atlanta institution and exposes visitors to Southern cooking.

The food is good, but not great but you can't beat the Southerness and variety.

Everyone should eat here at least once.

Where else can you find true Southern cuisine in historic Midtown Atlanta except in a restaurant that is historic. This is where the Atlantans eat as well as the tourist looking for the Southern experience. Nothng really fancy but it is authentic. Fried chicken the way it was made 60 years ago. Wide range of entrees. Pricing has gone up over the past few years but still a crowd pleaser. Friendly service. I prefer the room next to the bar.

Two friends and myself decided to go to Mary Mac's (my first, their second time) and the service was nice and setting as well, but the food...? no! I ordered the chicken & dumplings and the sauce in it was lumpy, not fully cooked, and very little chicken. The peach cobbler was great though.

  • A REAL Southern Feast

Mary Mac's is a place to bring back memories of days gone by. It is quite unique with a new menu printed every day. Take your time and look over a huge number of selections. Write your own order and hand it to the waitress. The vegatable soup is sooooo good. The best fried chicken you have had in a long time. No end to the variety. Pick out that veggie you had forgotten about. A fantastic place for lunch. Very reasonable prices.
