I ate the "ham salvation" sandwhiches 4/5 times a week back in 1987-90.. Best sandwhich ever made! No words can describe how much I miss it. New York needs an Alvin Ord's!!!!

One of my fondest memories of Beaufort involves those wonderful sandwiches at Alvin Ords. The Reuben is my fave...but the real star of the show is the bread...it will leave you craving more!

This is a great alternative to a typical sub sandwich shop if you are in Beaufort. The bread is unique and the meat is piled on! The service is fast which is a definite plus. It does get pretty crowded inside during peak times, and it can sometimes be difficult to move around the small space where you order and get your drinks. Must EAT place!
