The food at Bennett's Calabash was very poor, food was warm and the price was ridiculous. The waitress told us that the buffet was 20 dollars and when we got our checks the price was like $28. My family and myself will not ever visit a calabash again. Thanks for nothing.

This place is overrated and overpriced. The food is not fresh, too greasy and overall of a poor quality. The average rating is 4.5 stars. That rating is more appropriate for Frank's of Pawley's Island or Ruth Chris Steakhouse.
You can get better food at the Waffle House.

I had the same situation as another reviewer. After eating, semi warm food, I became nauseous and then ill by the time we returned to our hotel. All of the food I tasted, was lackluster at best. I go to Myrtle Beach at least twice a year. I always eat at Bennett's Calabash on 29th. The shrimp, scallops, and crab legs are the best. They have so much to choose from. The service is great and very friendly. I have eaten many places in Myrtle Beach and Bennett's Calabash is the best.

I think the food is over priced, the restaurant was slow, Month of Jan, Steaks were not good at all, couldn't eat it. I felt like I was paying for the food that had not been ate. Will never go there again. I think 80.00 is more than $20.00 a plate, for 3 people. Not worth it.
