The only reason that this restaurant gets a good rating is because all the toursits don't know how to get to the good Japanese steakhouses! BEST FOOD IN MYRTLE BEACH! YOU HAVE TO TRY!! Best during the summer to get a reservation, otherwise you will have to wait for over an hour, but it is worth it!

My family and another visit mb for vacation and we always visit Yamato on Tuesday evening.Then after a fantastic and fun meal we watch the fireworks.The food is great. The chefs are really talented,the kids big and small have a blast.If we come down there for another 20 years I know where we will be dining on Tuesday night

By far the best japanese steakhouse in Myrtle Beach!!

My fiancee and I come down to Myrtle Beach (from Philadelphia, PA) once a year and the first thing we do when we arrive is make 2 reservations for Yamato. Once just won't hold us over for a whole year! It's the best Hibachi Restaurant that we've ever been to. THe service and the quality are top notch! Keep doing what you are doing, b/c it's fantastic!

I've been to plenty of Japanese Steak Houses and Yamato is by far the best! I eat there everytime I am in town!

The sushi and hibachi is good. Getting in to eat most times is a let down. I've eaten enough around at the other Japanese Steak houses to say that prices are higher and service is rushed trying to get the crowds in.
