I heard such great things about this Mexican Carribean grill and thought I would give it a try with my fiance. It was an alright enviroment, the waiters and waitresses took all the time in the world to finally quit chatting amoungst each other to actually notice we were waiting for roughly 7 minutes. It was completely empty in the dining area and ...

Went there on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, what a great experience, the food was fresh tasting and plentiful, I ordered an appitizer called Sploof Rolls and they were incredible, fried tortillas stuffed with crab meat and cheese served with pineapple salsa. Cost was $8 and it filled me up just enough so I could get through the afternoon, ...

We were recently in Asheville for the day and had lunch at Salsa's. We were very lucky that there was no wait and our service was very good. The food was wonderful and the portions were huge. The flavors reminded us of our travels in the Carribean. We will go back next time we are in town!

The staff is not very friendly or appreciative of your business. They generally try and rush you in and out. The food was not very good either with poor presentation. The only bad experience I had in Asheville was at Salsa's.

We were in Asheville for a day a few weeks back and we went to Salsa's, it was recommended by the hotel. Once we saw it, we thought it looked really fun. The server tried to seat us in the walkway facing the restroom so we asked to be seated somewhere else, she said well we had to sit there because its the next server's table. We said we ...

  • Not reliable flavors
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 07/31/07
We have been to Salsa's 4 times since moving to A'ville in April. The first time we went it was absolutely amazing! We thought we had found food heaven, a perfect fusion of Latin and Caribbean flavors. But our next 3 meals there, although good, were not spectacular. I realize that this isn't mass produced food so inconsistency is ...

  • Very strange food
    By rballard56, 06/02/07
I was unimpressed with this bazaar tasting, oily, strange mess they called food. Neither one of us will ever eat there again. Thank goodness the beer was drinkable to at least wash the crap down. I was hungry after our hour wait so I tried a little of everything on my plate, but it all tasted the same and I nearly couldn't get it down. Thought I was on Survivor. Wasted our time, $50+, and two nearly full plates.

Salsa in Asheville NC is great!!! The Banana, Almond Carrot salsa should not be passed by! At first glance the restaurant looks just like another restaurant. Step inside and check out there menu and you will and you will realize that you are in for a treat! The wait staff was exceptional and friendly. The food has an overwhelming and intriguing ...

  • Great Experience
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 04/10/07
The onlytime I had food like this was when I lived in the Cayman Islands!
It is a small place, the chef likes to keep it that way so he doesn't compromise the quality of the food.
We did not mind waiting for our table, it was well worth it.
The presentation of the food was simple, portions were big and the flavors incredible. Everything had ...

  • Yummmmy!!
    By A Yahoo! Contributer, 04/06/07
Really good. My roommate and I go back and go back for the wrap thing with sweet potato, whole garlic cloves, basil, tomato, goat cheese, and some special, special kind of sauce. Amazing. And it always turns out that whoever is waiting on us is not only happy to serve, but funny! As in, humorous individuals. A great establishment. Major thumbs up.
