love their salads, and their baked brie is pretty amazing!!! A truly great place for a cozy, conversational meal for two. There is also something to be said for it's little cubby hole of a location... it's super inviting, especially winter later afternoons.

I haven't been for lunch yet, but the dinner entrees are well put together from the selections to the ingrediants. It's a quaint stop to make for a nice evening.

And all three of us had entrees that we devoured. I enjoyed the coconut chicken with raspberry sauce. The best part was there was so much food, we had leftovers. ...

Although we have been to Franklin many times, this weekend was our first visit to The Chef & His Wife. The food was outstanding, especially the wild game sausage and pork chops. Chef Mark has everything well in hand at chef & his wife. There is always a crowd , but I don't mind waiting in line for his resturnat. I Love the fresh salad's , all of his sandwich wraps . The Steaks are super as is the seafood always fresh ! Try it once and you'll be coming back !

Excellent fine dining experience

I ate here for my birthday a few years back and that was probably the best meal I have ever had. Ever. It was a garlic stuffed grouper fillet with garlic mashed potatoes. If you have a few extra dollars, I would highly recommend this place!
A great place for a lunch with friends or a special anniversary dinner. We've done both. Sandwiches to 15 oz. fillets it is all good.
