This place is EXCELLENT. I love Larry's Beans they use and i love knowing i'm contributing to a Fair Trade company (larry's beans). Oh and i love the staff at the Drip, they are amazing. Hey Sean!! Miss Black Mountain and the best coffee in the world.

Love this place... love Black Mtn and can't come without going to the Dripolater... after coming from upstate SC for 8+ years, I've about earned a free coffee with my stamp card! Wish I could come more. Quaint, 'coffee shop-esque', friendly staff... perfect small town /village coffee shop.

I am tired of everyone in Asheville saying that this is one of the city's best coffee houses (which was said before it's second location opened in Asheville proper). It is not terrible, but it also isn't really good either. I have been four times, twice to the Black Mountain location and twice to the new Asheville one. The Black ...

  • Change of heart
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/17/06
Okay, so the Drip has won me over! I'm totally in love/lust with their coffee now. Why this sudden change of heart? Well, it wasn't sudden, but rather a slow, gradual courtship that developed into a very heated love affair (no pun intended). The price is great and the coffee is pure heaven. I'm especially happy that they've opened at their new location in Asheville, as well. Give them a try.

  • Best coffee in WNC

It is worth the $5 in gas from Asheville to get my $2 cup of coffee.... they serve Larry's Beans, and make the most consistently well-prepared coffee beverages in the area. As a former barista/espresso bar manager myself, I find that the atmosphere and staff are always top-notch, and I look forward to the anticipated opening of the Drip at the former location of Indigenous on Biltmore Ave.

Stopped by for a quick Latte & scone on a recent trip to Asheville. Loved the atmosphere and the Latte was much better than Starbucks! It will be on my must stop list.

  • Decent Coffee
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/04/05
The "Drip" is alright. I like to call myself a "coffee purist" meaning that I'm not into coffee drinks. I prefer just regular drip brews, but have become very fond of particular roasts. I have found that the Dripolator makes their coffee a little too strong for my taste....and I like it strong. Service there is usually very, very slow, but I love the building they are in.

  • The Best Coffeehouse in Black Mountain
    By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/27/05
Ok, so it's really the only one... but they make good drinks and their baked goods are delicious. Sometimes the service is not overly friendly but 90% of the time the barristas are nice. I definitely recommend it to anybody, even if you don't like coffee. You'll find something you like.
