Signed up for insider shopping package but no one knew anything about it except for one person-sadly she was not around when needed. Not very helpful. I will not be going there anytime soon!!!
I had booked and prepaid a package deal for flight and 4 night hotel stay at this hotel through Travelocity in March 07. At first things were okay apart from minor nuisances like the porter walking in early morning despite the Do Not Disturb sign...and I used cash for all food items except for laundry towards the end of my stay when I began to run ...

Bad customer service

For a five star hotel my stay at Interconetinental The Grand was disspointing. I clearly told them i was taking a midnight flight back home but i was forced to checkout at 12 in the afternoon. The reception refused to give me and extended stay inspite of me practically begging them. They say it was full house. Service is horrible and they have no ...
The hotel is certainly beautiful and relaxing. The 24-hour fitness facilities were nice, and the breakfast buffet was phenomenal. I spent about 90 days here for an extended business assignment and felt right at home. Only complaints are that the location is rather noisy and polluted (near the airport) and the price is rather high.

Incompetent and Arrogant
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/13/07
The unionized and militant staff do their best to trash the guest's experience. It starts with the front desk manager who tries to up the rate I have booked at -- "we cannot honor the rate you thought you got." It continues to housekeeping, who take hours to provide towels (room had been 'made' without towels.) Then they ...

Great Place Lacks Service
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 03/22/07
The hotel is well decorated and inviting. The people and service require an upgrade.
1. Employees believe air freshener removes cigarette smoke order. After booking a non-smoke room and verifying the request at front office, the check out person thought it was okay to put me in a ex-smoking room. 2. Breakfast is great but make sure to call for ...
as a werterner india is so very different to everything i know...this hotel softened the impact. very western and made the surroundings so much more familiar.
every amenity is here, food is good, hotel is very clean, and concierge is the best.
i was picked up at the airport by a hotel driver which was great, and the staff allowed me not to worry about a thing
internet in rooms, pool, spas, shops, restaurants, gym...this hotel has it all
It often happens that something which looks inviting on the outside proves to be hollow inside.
My stay at the Intercontinental at Sahar, Mumbai, was one such experience. One of the rooms booked by me was being occupied by my aunt, who had fractured a foot. Somewhat -though, apparently, mistakenly - taken in by the misleading assurance, in the ...

The Palace
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/21/06
It was a very luxurious hotel I had ever visited. I stayed there for two nights. I felt that it wasn't a hotel but a palace!
