Having stayed in 7 Hotels during my 2 week strip to India, I would say Vijay Park was def one of the better ones. I can't comment on price, as our accomodation was booked thru an agent, but this one was stunning in comparision with the others.

In March and in April 2005, I stayed at the Vijay Park in Madras. I was very happy with the service, location and room cleanliness of the hotel. The room was clean and the service reasonable. However, the food in their restaurent was the worst I ever had. The waiting time for the food to appear on table took ages.
