My son, who lives in the city, booked the room for us. I was leery after checking out the neighborhood, but my son reassured me it was safe. Neighborhood is shabby, but hotel is clean and comfortable. Good price; good service. There's not a parking lot, but if you park on street in front of hotel & lock your car door, it should be safe.
This Hotel was very nice the neighborhood a little shabby ,but seemed safe enough. Only 2 blocks to the Subway and City Parking Garage . There were a lot of little take out restaurant's ,but only 5 mins by Subway to Times Square. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a good time and will come back
Stayed here with a car because we wanted to see the Museum of Moving Images. There is no parking and it is a dicey neighborhood to leave a car out overnight. It is in the midst of junkyards and warehouses. In the daytime the front desk rings you in and out and after dark they add a guard at the door. You do not feel very secure. Family members ...
Small but reasonable. This is an avg hotel, basically if you need a place to stay for the night, this hotel will do. Staff was friendly, only 10 minute train ride from Manhattan.
its a block away from the subway thats great, and the people thet work there are very nice, there is a little pizza place in the corner and its open 24 hrs so even if it doesent feel dangerous at any time.
i stayed at this comfort inn from 10/30-11/1 and would absolutely recommend this place if you're traveling on a budget. i echo the other reviews--super cheap, friendly staff, clean rooms, excellent subway transportation... but the rooms are on the smaller side, the neighborhood is very shady, the view isn't anything to write home about. but ...
The 5 stars reflect value for NYC, not value anywhere else. The staff (especially Dwane) was very helpful. The room size is OK---small by normal standards. Everything in the room worked. The high-speed internet in the room didn't work, but the wireless in the lobby worked great, plus there is a computer on the first floor (note about this ...
We loved this hotel. Its ideal if you want a hotel with everything at great price but dont mind travelling a little to the centre. The subway is only 2 minutes walk away and takes u direct to Times Square/Manhttan in 15 mins. There are plenty of restaraunts across the road including a 24hr Macdonalds next door and a petrol station/mini ...
The staff here went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay memorable and fun! Our first room was a little tight but a next day transfer to a corner room made all the difference. This was a clean, comfortable hotel and the location was ideal for catching a train to Manhattan or the other boroughs or if not your thing, taxis were easily ...
This hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. The rooms were small. We were on the 7th floor and the elevator broke twice so we had to climb, got our exercise for the day! Breakfast was nice, the breakfast charge lady was extremely helpful and nice. Nice and close to the subway station very easy to find our way around. Although a rough looking ...
