Wonderful place for family with smal children!We've been at Viva Wyndham Tangerine in Nov. 2008 with a 4 year old and a 2 year old. The service – excellent! If I needed milk for my baby they would make it happened even when the bar was not open and the snack-bar run out of milk. We had a room in the main building and were fine. Horrible experienceI'm not sure if the people writing the other reviews stayed at the same hotel as me. The food in horrendous. Unedible if you ask me. All the warm Presidente that you can drink and wine that comes from 2 taps labled Tinto and Blanco (Red and White). Rooms that look like they are more suitable to a prison. Its OKThe hotel was ok. Nothing awfully wow about it. Service, was good, but not great. Some of the staff ignored you if they figured you were a native ( I traveled from NY to a family reunion). I couldn't even dream it up!I enjoyed virtually every aspect of this resort! The highlights being the nightly entertainment shows - dancing, comedy, game shows, (The Michael Jackson show was killer!) brought to you by the very hardworking, friendly, gorgeous (hi Pablo y Johan!) staff. We Are Going BackOverall a very clean and friendly hotel. The staff were very good and hard working, and the food was delicious.
If you just want a nice quiet chill holiday this is the place to be. We will be taking our teenagers here this year.

We Would Go Back In A Second!The Viva Wyndham Tangerine was a great place to go for a 1 week vacation for some fun in the sun. It was directly on the beach, so that was handy, whereas many other Puerto Plata hotels were not RIGHT on the beach (eg: those in Playa Dorada).

I want to go back!I arrived back from Viva Tangerine on 3rd May this year and I am very depressed that I'm back in the UK!
I enjoyed every part of the holiday and the main reason that it was so enjoyable is due to the staff. Every member of staff were so happy and always smiling. Tough to beat this vacation destination !Absolutely wonderful vacation at this resort. We were travelling with a group of 8, including three teenagers. All of us had plenty to keep us busy and happy and the resort is in a fabulous setting ... incredible beach, a very short walk from the town of Cabarete, and the employees work very hard to keep you happy.

i am goin back next year cant wait.I had a great time especially with all the animation staff which was great. I enjoyed every bit of it and i well missed it all when i came home. I liked the shows that the staff did every night and on one of the nights i was in one of them but i was really nervose but i was great fun.
