This place has tasty food, but the chefs smoke in the kitchen and they also put unused tea back into the big pot that they serve people from. I witnessed both of these offenses and will never eat there again due to this. The owner is also unkind. Anyway these are just a few things I have witnessed.

This place is the best ever. Things to try Yushang shrimp and the lemon chicken. The OOOOOOOOOlong tea is outstanding along with the green tea ice cream. As far as Betty goes shes like a family member @ els021961 she can get upset from time to time but from what i have known these people bring this on themselves.

I've eaten a lot of chinese food in my time. By far, the best fried rice is at China Kitchen. I challenge anyone to find better fried rice than here. The prices are cheap and the food is great. It's worth the trip...and we make it from Charles Town a lot...

The food is most often cooked by Mr. Wang (owner) himself. the entrees are huge in portion and taste great. Service is usually great and the food comes out faster than any other place in Shepherdstown. The prices are more than fair and Betty Wang is a wonderful woman, a true treat to meet. Plus, Shepherd students can order the lunch price menu all day long when ordering carry out. Great for poor college folks!

The food at the China Kitchen almost feels like a home cooked meal. The food is always delicious and the portions are very generous. The owners and operators Betty Wang and simply known as Mr. Wang are some of the most generally nice honest people you could meet as a customer and employee. It's the only chinese food in the area I will eat if I have a say in the matter. Not to be excluded the sushi is also pretty amazing.

wow, ive known these people for ever, they've only been respectful and very nice as i went there. i remember when i first went there, they was the sweetest people you could meet. betty even baked me a cake and always ask about my mom everytime i go there. it may be an old place but those people are very nice and kind hearted. barry sheptown wva

amazing. not sure what els021961 is really talking about, every time i have eaten there, i have been treated very well and the food has been excellent. there is a fast take out service and the food always tastes fresh.

Exellent AWESOME FOOD!!!! Some of the best take out Chinease food I've ever had!

What a horrible dinner! The service was rude and acted like we bothered him--when we went to ask to get someone to correct our dinner order, they kept ignoring the problem. VERY RUDE! Food was not cooked and not chewable. COMPLAINED to Betty (the owner) and she started yelling and argueing! I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS RESTURANT! THEY ACT LIKE THEY'RE DOING YOU A FAVOR IF THEY WAIT ON YOU. LOUSEY SERVICE AND FOOD!
